Day 1


Land in the Noi Bai International Airport, and meet your friendly Travel Director. Take a private transfer to our luxurious resort, perfectly situated on the tranquil waters of Hanoi’s West Lake.

West Lake, Hanoi

Unwind and explore the property and grounds. After, come together to meet your fellow travelers and listen as your Travel Director gives an exciting overview of your trip. Relax during a casual welcome dinner, feasting on Vietnamese cuisine at the resort.

Day 2

Old Quarter, Hanoi

Enjoy a day of new flavors, starting with an authentic breakfast at Pho Bo Hang Don. After, head out on a tasting tour in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Stop at local cafes for Vietnamese pastries and yogurt, and try egg coffee. Hop onto a bicycle and ride from the Old Quarter to Dong Xuan Market, full of food products and crafts.


Take part in a guided walk in Ngoc Ha where all the flowers sold in Hanoi were once grown. End the walk at the B-52 wreckage monument. Savor a lunch of local specialities that includes Banh Cuon and Bun Cha, a dish of grilled pork and noodles. Relax back at the resort after your energetic day, then come together for dinner at 100-year-old Cha Ca La Vong.

Day 3

Ba Dinh, Hanoi

Get hands-on during a cooking workshop at a local cooking center, including a guided walk to Chau Long market to purchase fresh ingredients. After, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex and the Temple of Literature, both rich with history. Sit down in a private home to observe the unique cultural tradition of water puppetry.


This evening, go out and experience Vietnamese fresh beer called bia hoi before dinner. Bia hoi is a light lager that’s matured only for a brief period of time and enjoyed fresh. Explore more of the local cuisine during dinner on your own at one of our recommended spots, reservations made for your convenience.

Day 4

Red River Delta

Make today about adventuring with a day trip to the Tay Phuong Pagoda and the ancient village of Duong Lam, known for their laterite stone houses. Explore ancient alleys and visit a local tofu factory to see a demonstration on how this regional dish is made. After, enjoy lunch with a local family and learn how they make a specialty soybean and sticky rice sauce called tuong.


End this full day with an elegant dinner at the Seasons of Hanoi. Housed within a gorgeous, French colonial villa, this restaurant serves a selection of traditional Vietnamese fare.

Day 5

Halong Bay

Check out of our hotel this morning and journey to the Hon Gai International Harbor. Climb aboard a luxurious junk boat, your home for the night. Check in, receive a short safety overview, and sip on welcome drinks paired with views of the Red River Delta. Lunch on the outdoor patio as we sail toward Halong Bay.

Vung Dan & Cong Dam

After a midday meal, continue to sit back as we cruise to the pristine Vung Dang – Cong Dam area. Take part in some adventurous time off the boat, like swimming in the blue waters or kayaking amid the Karst Mountains. Watch the sunset during dinner onboard this traditional junk boat.

Day 6

Cong Do, Halong Bay

Wake to gorgeous views of Halong Bay, and greet the day with morning tai chi on the sundeck. Today we’ll cruise to Cong Do and explore the mystical Thien Canh Son Cave, full of shimmering stalactites and intricate rock formations. Discover more flavors of Vietnamese cuisine during a buffet lunch onboard before disembarking the ship.

Hoi An

After a short ferry ride, stop at the village of Tho Ha to learn how rice paper is made at a local home. On our way to Hanoi, stop to see a 400-year-old pagoda and discover its detailed architecture. Drive to Noi Bai International Airport for flights to Da Nang. Discover more delights of Vietnamese cuisine during dinner in Da Nang, then relax during a short drive to Hoi An where we’ll check in at our boutique hotel.

Day 7

Hoi An

Begin your first full day in Hoi An with an early morning walk through a fish market – one of the most popular in the region – with a local guide. Next, head to the kitchen of Vy’s Market Restaurant for a cooking class followed by a walk through the many street food counters in the market for live demonstrations.

Tra Que Herb Village

Head to Tra Que Village, only a few miles from Hoi An’s city center. This quaint village is known for growing some of the most delicious produce for all of Hoi An. Visit Banh Mi Phuong to sample Vietnam’s famous Banh Mi sandwiches and some Vietnamese coffee. Take the rest of the afternoon to return to the Central Market and explore the variety of spices and goods at your leisure.

Day 8

Cam Nam Village

Spend the morning meandering on your own through Hoi An, a city whose name translates to “peaceful meeting place.” Find lunch on your own, then come together for a cylco tour to Cam Nam, a small village nearly untouched by visitors. Ride along the Thu Bon River and end the Cam Nam tour with a boat cruise on the river with views of daily fishing life.

Hoi An

Come together this evening for a memorable dinner at the Cargo Club. Sample the popular white rose dumplings, a regional speciality of delicate, white dough dumplings filled with spiced, minced meat and seafood. Savor this unique meal while sharing stories from your adventurous morning.

Day 9


Check out of the hotel this morning and drive to Da Nang for a short flight to Saigon. After getting settled in our Saigon hotel, reunite to tour this largest city of Vietnam. Discover the Reunification Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the City Post Office. Discuss the history of Saigon over lunch at a popular local restaurant before touring the War Remnants Museum.

Binh Tay Market, Saigon

Continue learning about the history and architecture of Saigon during a tour of Chinatown. See the Thien Hau Pagoda, stop and sample coffee at streetside cafes, and walk around Binh Tay Market, the largest wholesale market in Saigon. Take time to rest before a unique dinner this evening at Noir restaurant, a darkly lit space that will enhance your senses of taste and smell.

Day 10

Chi Chi Tunnels

Wake early this morning for a tour of the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Learn about this network of underground tunnels that was used for military campaigns during the Vietnam War. Back in Saigon’s city center, take the rest of the morning to explore, stop into local craft shops, and seek out a traditional lunch on your own.


Come together as a group for your final dinner together in lovely Vietnam. Sit back in an upscale restaurant featuring both modern and traditional Vietnamese dishes, and chat with one another about all that you’ve seen, tasted, and learned on this journey.

Savor your final breakfast in Vietnam and check out. Enjoy a free morning to wander Saigon and take in its vibrant sights and sounds. Take a private transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for flights home. Tạm biệt!
